Travis Norton has been with BV for more than 20 years. As the Director of Global Technical Services in the Americas region, he leads and manages a technical consultation team. Previously, he was the Director of Technical Services for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he lived in Hong Kong and worked in Global Project Management, Technical & Engineering Services and Laboratory Operations, testing smart home, wearables and connected devices. Travis is a member of the Open Connectivity Foundation and the ANSI Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Standardization Collaborative. He is an ASTM member, participating on committees F38 for unmanned aircraft systems, F12 for security systems, D13 for textiles on the D13.50 ‘smart textiles’ committee, and F15 for consumer products, including the new F15.75 committee for ‘Ensuring the Safety of Consumer Connected Devices’.
